During the height of Covid-19, NDIS introduced a number of initiatives to support NDIS participants and disability providers through the coronavirus pandemic. The main NDIS Covid changes Your Helpers Home Services implemented was adding a 10% loading on some services.

The Minister of National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Stuart Robert, has reviewed the temporary measures implemented during Covid-19 and has announced first round of post NDIS covid changes.

First Round Post Covid-19 Review

Below are the changes will apply as if 1 July 2020:

  • Removal of temporary 10 per cent price loading on certain core and capacity building supports.
  • Definition of cancellation period is reduced from 10 days to levels under the previous policy
  • Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) period will be returned to the original policy of 90 days (rolled back from 180 days).

Your Helpers Home Service will continue to monitor conditions in the sector and make adjustments that may be required.

During the Covid-19 period Your Helpers Home Services really has risen to the challenge and continued to provide support to participants in a safe and appropriate manner during the pandemic. Our team continues to follow the other coronavirus response measures to protect our team and clients. Measures such as completing the Covid-19 training module, maintaining social distancing, wearing protective gear such as mask and gloves, and practising good hygiene.
