Last month the NDIS Quality & Safeguard Commission implemented an updated disability workers screening nationally. This update has been rolled out throughout Queensland to improve safeguards for people receiving disability supports and services.

All newly engaged workers will need a disability worker screening check if they are engaged by an NDIS registered provider in a risk assessed role, or a state-funded provider delivering disability supports or services.

What This Means For Our Contractors

Any new contractors we onboard as of 1 February 2021 will be required to undergo the new workers screening process. For our existing contractors who hold active Yellow Cards, this process does not impact them until the Yellow Card expires. Then they will undergo the new workers screening process to receive clearance.

What This Means For Our Clients

This updated screening provides more  the Registered NDIS providers in all states and territories are required to comply with all of the relevant NDIS Practice Standards.
